I saw my all-time favorite comedian with my son on Saturday - Illinois native Emo Philips.
Today Illinois-based McDonalds is bringing back their fried apple pies.
Life is good - and better because of our great state.
Still enjoying my post-retirement monthlong jaunt along the East Coast. Three weeks after formally retiring, I must say I am ready to return to the Prairie State. But first - a few days in the mountains await.
The Levitt field was crowded and the music was enjoyable. I liked watching young people dancing to the funk music and look forward to it again this week with zydeco music, although I must admit I’m not even sure what zydeco music is like. Which is why I need to go to these concerts(bp)
The Bruce Springsteen song, “You’re Missing,” would be memorable during this tough time. It always makes me tear up remembering our loved ones lost too soon. Enjoy!

I remember when Emo Phillips went by the name Phil Kidney. He and Judy Tenuta were a killer combo.

Terrifying. I’m trying to reclaim an activity I used to love — biking — until an accident forced me into a wheelchair for three months.
Now, 14 years later and more afraid of decay than speed, I bought a sturdy electric-assist tricycle.
Yesterday was my third session on the trike. There was much less adrenaline and flop sweat, and I pedaled faster than I could walk.
