* Background is here if you need it. From Gov. Pritzker’s spokesperson…
“The Governor commends individuals who share deeply personal experiences and help shed light on inappropriate and unacceptable workplace conduct, especially in public service. He believes Illinoisans deserve the highest standards and ethics from their elected representatives, who all share the critical responsibility of maintaining safe working environments free of harassment. The Governor has not seen the report but supports transparency and accountability and believes the release of the report would be in the best interest of the public.”

Ball is in your court Mr Speaker, politically the Governor is going to do everything he can to prevent wearing the coat for this.
If the report isn’t going to come out, it will make a heck of a superpac add in a year. Keeping this under wraps not a good look for someone running for President.
It’s a Friday, good day to release it Mr Speaker

Democrats hold their elected officials and candidates accountable. Republicans look the other way and deny everything. The contrast couldn’t be greater.

You must be new here.

With the special investigative committee now empaneled, gotta believe it’s only a matter of time until the LIG report is made public.
If in fact the report details the dates of all the various events and communications, consistent with the Tribune story, that would explain why the speaker wasn’t eager to release it himself and why he’s been so circumspect about all this.

Can a special investigative committee be formed to look into Welch’s behavior?
- Capitol Caravan - Friday, Jul 17, 26 @ 5:15 pm:
Sorry, conflated the Benton crisis with the Ammons crisis - no special investigative committee for Benton. Long Friday.
Still probably only a matter of time until that report gets out.
