Good morning!
Thursday, Oct 1, 2026 - Posted by Rich Miller * I’ve tried to stay a bit quiet about this development. The White Sox haven’t won two post-season games in a row since 2005 and their September was less than stellar. I’ve been most afraid of the Red Sox, but the Yankees took care of those guys. And now it’s Cleveland, a team I never thought would end the season ahead of my team.

Maybe it helps to have the Pope rooting for you.

I agree with Bregman. This season was a failure.

And in the next round, the White Sox get at least one home game. Warm up the air raid sirens!

Congrats to the Sox, and where did the Cubs bats go?
Baseball is funny sometimes..

Great game, so fun to watch. A great win for the organization, considering recent history. Muni was having a blast.

This Sox team has been a joy to watch. ChiSox fans deserve the success after hanging tough through some very lean years.
Don’t stop now boys - Go Sox

My Dad gave me a Go Go Sox button in 1959, white lettering on a dark blue background (funny how we remember those things). I held onto it for quite a while but it was lost long ago.
Lots of bleak years since then, but this one was so great and so positive and so joyful.
Game plan: Win one in Cleveland and close out at home.

And Bregman, and Busch, and Happ and Swanson (thought that was expected). The only bright spot was Hoerner. Boyd and Gausman looked lost.
Sox look tough though. Keep peaking now.

Having an absolute blast watching the Sox! They are playing some great ball right now. I guarantee that Cleveland didn’t want to see them in the playoffs.

This team is fun because every game is a nail-biter. No lead is safe.
Up by 5? Good chance to blow it.
Down by 5? Good chance to win it.
I do love their spirit and hope to see it got at least one more series.

That’s what makes the team so different from the past few years. They’d get behind and surrender. This team does not surrender.

While we are generally Cardinal fans being for the Sox during this period is great fun. Especially watching die hard Sox fans and suicidal Cubs fan. SPI area guy, SIUC Saluki/Savanah Bannana, some former Cardinals. We think it is the Luck/Legend of Leo.
