The Sox are a work in progress. They play with a lot of determination. There needs to be an emphasis on reducing strikeouts at the plate. Good things happen when you put the ball in play. Choke up a little and cut down your swing when you have 2 strikes on you.

Sox: Add a starting pitcher, then add a starting pitcher, and top it off with a starting pitcher. Seriously, that’d be enough for me given what’s in the pipeline - if you’re doing more, a decent bat to replace the presumably departing Bennintendi.

White Sox need reliable starting pitching - guys that can get you to the 6th. I loved the aggressive tactical “platoon” method that we use in the playoffs, but when it doesn’t work, it’s ugly

Member of the Cardinal nation here, and we need starting pitching bad. We have the defense, hitting, speed and youth. Not sure what’s in AAA but some seasoned hurlers would help. My 2nd favorite team is the Sox and the Cleveland kind of wrote them a letter on what they need - starting pitching and plate discipline. The latter should be the Spring training focus.
If history is any guide, the Cubs should overpay for some front line starting and relief pitching then wait patiently for the new arms to get injured or underperform. That’s what I expect to happen anyway.

Everyone needs more pitching, so most fanbases will say pitching. But Cubs in particular need a couple solid, frontline starters. Have some guys who could fill out the back of the rotation.
They also need a good bullpen year. Bullpens are so unpredictable - most of those guys would be starters if they were good enough. They brought guys back or brought guys in last offseason for the pen, and they just didn’t perform(Maton, Thielbar). May also need to bring in a bat assuming at least Happ leaves(probably also Seiya).
White Sox need pitching. Apparently all the assistant coaches are staying but I question what’s happening with hitting. strikeouts have to decrease. nice the bench coach is coming back…about to be Mike Quigley’s son in law. what happens in the GM office as they might lose Barfield? is that ok? the trades before deadline were not great so gotta pick it up in that office.

Agree with 47th Ward. The bullpen is priority #1 for the Cubs.

Make it so I don’t have to pay $40 a month to watch the 2 Chicago teams play.
