Illinois gubernatorial candidate and former State Senator Darren Bailey and his running mate Aaron Del Mar will kick off the Blueprint to Victory bus tour across the state starting Monday to rally voters ahead of the November 3 election.
“Illinois is a great state with terrible leadership,” Bailey said. “We have an opportunity to bring about meaningful change to our state and to have our voice be heard. It starts with our base getting fired up and getting to the polls. Illinois is not lost. We just need voters to reject the failed policies of the past and embrace the possibilities of a better future for our great state.”

* Lincoln Legacy PAC is spending six figures on an ad against Melissa Bean…
On Monday, Lincoln Legacy PAC, an organization dedicated to championing candidates who embody the values and legacy Abraham Lincoln left behind, released their first television ad of the campaign cycle.
The six-figure ad buy, which began airing over the weekend across the Chicago television market, highlights Democrat candidate Melissa Bean’s efforts to prop up predatory lenders while “screwing working families” across Illinois’ Eighth Congressional District.
In all but one race, the third-quarter fundraising efforts of the Republican congressional candidates running in the North, West and Northwest suburbs were far behind their Democratic rivals’, records show. […]
Only in the open 8th District race between former Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean of Barrington and Republican Jennifer Davis of Huntley was there anything resembling parity. And even then, Bean significantly outraised her opponent while Davis spent more, records show. […]
Bean started the quarter with less than $145,000 in the bank, and went on to raise about $351,000, records show. After spending nearly $218,000, her campaign ended the quarter with less than $278,000 on hand and more than $391,000 in debts to the candidate and a vendor.
Davis started July with more than $730,000 in the bank, and her team raised about $237,000 during the quarter, records show. After spending more than $523,000, the Davis campaign ended the quarter with less than $445,000 on hand and more than $1 million in debts to the candidate.
On the last day for 2027 candidates to turn in their nominating petitions, mayoral hopefuls lugged in their stacks of signatures Monday with some personal flair.
Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza brought with her a red cooler of chicken and pork tamales and a spork. Cardiologist Dr. Lisa Nee and her team strolled in wearing physician white coats. […]
Others who indicated they will drop their signatures before the end of business Monday were attorney William Quinlan, Cook County treasurer Maria Pappas, Cook County Board of Review Commissioner George Cardenas and businessman Joe Holberg. […]
Mendoza, for her part, said she brought in over 26,000 signatures, putting her at the bottom of the pack so far. But she stressed it was quality, not quantity that matters. […]
Coming before her with taller stacks of signatures were Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias at about 60,000, followed by U.S. Rep Mike Quigley with 42,000 signatures, lobbyist John Kelly at 36,000. Then Johnson at 33,000, Chicago Housing Authority Commissioner Matt Brewer at 32,000 and business Willie Wilson at 30,000.
The race in the Nov. 3 election for a seat in the Illinois Senate in District 33 is between Republican Danielle Penman and Democrat Michele Clark.
Penman, 49, of St. Charles, said issues in the district among voters include property taxes, the cost of living and school referendums. […]
“The taxes are a strain on people and they are looking for an exit out of Illinois because of the costs that continue to rise,” she said. “Seniors are frustrated because they are on fixed incomes and I’ve talked to some of them who are concerned that they won’t be able to stay in their homes.”
Regarding the healthcare issue, Clark says she “wants to cap more of the prescription costs.” […]
Clark, 53, of Algonquin, said voters in her district have been talking about affordability issues, political ethics and also the desire to vote and having their voices be heard during this election cycle. […]
“I also want to level the playing field for small businesses that do not get the same premium rates as large businesses do,” she said.
=== “Bailey endorsed by Trump” signs paid for by JB for Governor===
Good thing that the Governor self fund raises. This is the kind of thing that can make donors grumpy about how the campaign is spending it’s money. I would hold my doubts on the authenticity because this is the kind of thing I would expect to see a local party or other enthusiast do rather than the candidate’s committee.
It is the last week of the election, and this is what you want the press to be asking you about?
Bailey’s campaign is a Schrodinger Campaign. The possibility of it being alive only exists until someone count’s a vote. I’m not sure this kind of stunt is worth the effort.
===Bean is running against Republican Jennifer Davis. ===
If there’s any Democrat that can lose an election in that district, it is Melissa Bean. But lets hope not.

Awesome. Love it. Many of us have been making the same point here. Donald Trump loves Darren Bailey. Put signs in the suburbs as well.
