A note from Rich
Thursday, Oct 29, 2026 - Posted by Rich Miller * I received some good news from my ace surgical oncologist at Northwestern Hospital today. As I’ve told you before, she was able to extract the tumor a couple of weeks ago after a long and painstaking surgery. She said at the time that she believed she got it all. She’s since analyzed the pathology reports and told me today she can find no evidence of any lymph node involvement outside of what’s already been removed. That was the big one. Lymph node spread ain’t good. It can go everywhere and kill you dead. So, that was the best possible pathology report I could ask for. An oncology committee will now debate next steps. Frankly, I’d like to give that zone a couple zaps of chemo or whatever just to make sure, but let’s see what happens. Anyway, I ain’t dead yet and I hope not to be for quite a while. I love you all. Life is good. * Isabel remains in charge until further notice. Carry on.

Can’t even ask for better than that. If there are any “good old days” to be had in the world of medicine, these are it and even better are coming.
