  1. - Anon 3:07 - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:07 pm:

Since there are no vetoed bills to undertake, I say ‘no bills”.

  2. - unexciting and obvious - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:08 pm:

pharmacy regulation sunset extension. pharmacies would be deregulated come january 1 if it doesnt pass

  3. - R A T - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:10 pm:

Eliminate both State Fairs but I would settle for the free one that costs the taxpayers a lot.

  4. - Three Dimensional Checkers - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:11 pm:

Ban elected officials from serving as lobbyists while in office.

  5. - Nieva - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:13 pm:

Senate passed the Daylight Savings Time bill 44-2. I hate it when it gets dark at 5 pm.

  6. - Da Big Bad Wolf - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:13 pm:

The Daylight Savings Time Bill., SB533. Changing the clocks leads to more accidents and wastes money. It costs the US $430 million annually. It passed the Senate today 44 to 2.

  7. - Unpopular - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:19 pm:

    Repeal of legal marijuana.

  8. - SKI - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:23 pm:

Repeal or Amend the $100 ($18 to $118) increase on TA trailer plates. These trailers have less than 3,000lbs GVW. They typically weigh less than 600lbs and include small equipment trailers used by scouting and church groups along with the small trailers towed behind motorcycles.

Vehicles up to 8,000lbs went to $151. If you applied the full weight of a TA trailer proportionately, it would be a fee of $57, not $118.

Representatives have a bill they’re working on, hopefully the Speaker will call it forward.

  9. - Lester Holt’s Mustache - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:26 pm:

Is the question specific to approval only? If so, agree with Big Bad Wolf - the daylight savings time bill. Driving to work in the dark and then driving home in the dark is for the birds.

If not, what I’d most like to see is a tweak to the vape bill. Change it from outright ban to something more commonsense that won’t eliminate a ton of jobs and cost the state revenue, like limiting sales to vape shops only and 21 & up with stricter carding requirements.

  10. - DTAG - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:27 pm:

HB97 Lets end partisan games Republicans play with judicial selection in Champaign County.

  11. - Responsa - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:27 pm:

Permanent Daylight Saving Time. Yes. Please.

  12. - Montrose - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:27 pm:

With Chicago facing record low temperatures and opening up warming centers, it would be great to see a compromise bill to help the homeless and also help Chicago’s budget.

  13. - Grandson of Man - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:28 pm:

HB 3888 the ETO phase-out bill, but if not that, SB 1784, the pro-union bill. We have to do better for our environment and eliminate illnesses from this carcinogen. Both bills are scheduled for Senate Executive committee hearings tomorrow. The union bill was passed overwhelmingly in the House late last month, with 93 votes in favor.

  14. - Lester Holt’s Mustache - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:30 pm:

    == Repeal of legal marijuana.==

lol. I’d say “Ok boomer”, but that opinion could only come from someone from the silent generation. “Ok silent” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. We need a better meme for that.

  15. - Billy Sunday - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:32 pm:

Repeal the 2006 red light camera law..

If we’re re-opening the license plate fee increases, get rid of the big increase for electric cars. This still doesn’t look good coming from a governor from what is supposed to be the pro-environmental party. This discourages sales of electric cars. There are thousands more hybrids on the road that are also paying very little in mft. You could give them a very small bump (small enough that it wouldn’t discourage sales) and generate far more money for roads.

UberGeezer…mean and fun at the same time.

  18. - downstateR - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:37 pm:

Get rid of Daylight Savings and make the Metric System mandatory (OK, I’m kidding about the second one).

  19. - SpfdNewb - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:47 pm:

    -make the Metric System mandatory-

I actually like that one, tbh.

Going with the flow, permanent DST. I have to take medication at specific times on the dot or I get bad side effects (mainly disorientation). I hate having to adjust for the time change the week before and after the clock switches.

  20. - Just Me 2 - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 3:55 pm:

Ban mid-year appointments and require special elections like Congress.

Banning secret, closes-door, caucus meetings. Open them up to the public.

  21. - don the legend - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 4:02 pm:

Bring back the proposed tax on each email. /s

  22. - RNUG - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 4:37 pm:

    Death penalty for telemarketers -;)

  23. - something's missing - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 4:38 pm:

So, not a single vote for ethics reform? OK then…ethics reform.

  24. - Fayette County - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 4:46 pm:

Daylight Savings bill. Glad it passed the Senate easily today.

  25. - Ok - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 4:46 pm:

    Permanent daylight savings.

Because who cares if folks in Minnesota show up to work at 9 am in darkness…

  26. - Annonin' - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:01 pm:

The long awaited approp for the GovJunk potrait

  27. - Fryboy - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:06 pm:

I would like a general ethics bill passed to include the following provisions:
1.the executive inspector general and tollway inspector general cannot be married to each other.
2.the tollway must publish foia request despite their recent reversal of that longstanding position.
3.the chief engineer of the tollway cannot do business with an engineering company if his son works for that company.

  28. - Mama - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:13 pm:

Make Day Light Savings Time Permanent.

  29. - Boomerang - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:21 pm:

Change the official state bird to “the Dodo” and make the official state mascot “the Hamburgler”.

  30. - Ok - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:44 pm:

Sad that we still need Congress to make Daylight Savings Permanent

  31. - Homer Simpson's Brain - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:44 pm:

I would like to see the tip credit phased out, and the minimum wage indexed to inflation plus productivity growth starting in 2026. This bill only needs 60-30-1.

  32. - Raspberry Beret - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:44 pm:

    Recreational cannabis home grow

  33. - A Jack - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 5:57 pm:

Some kind of Constitutional campaign finance reform, especially for dark money groups. We are starting another election year in a few months and really need some kind of reform before the madness starts.

  34. - Cosgrove - Tuesday, Nov 12, 19 @ 6:50 pm:

Repeal of Illinois’s dangerous forced Parental Notice of Abortion law which puts the health and lives of vulnerable young women at risk.

  35. - Blue Dog Dem - Wednesday, Nov 13, 19 @ 7:46 am:

    Eliminate the FOID card.
