This is sort of Illinois related, but it warmed my heart when Mamdani filmed his announcement taxing luxury properties outside of Ken Griffin’s NYC Penthouse.
Sometimes I miss hearing from Ken.

We didn’t get any closure. He just ghosted us and moved to Florida. He doesn’t want to acknowledge the years he spent with us holding us back and trying to ruin our future because he just couldn’t accept the idea of someone other than little Kenny G succeeding at life.

I am an Illinois native who has lived in every corner of the state, including Chicago and Southern Illinois. I living out of state now due to family job considerations but — contrary to all the stuff one hears about Illinois — I look forward to moving back to the state in the coming years. For all its faults, Illinois still has my love and respect. That’s all I wanted to say. Thanks for reading.
