For a while in 2024, it looked like the Sox were even going to be lucky to even win 20 games. Although I’m a Cardinal fan, it is so great to see the Sox improve. Now some new ownership and fresh ideas will help the Sox improve even more.

new ownership, it’s coming, and he comes to games now. the team is made up of hard working fun loving players. the Mike Vasil wand action is so hilarious. Will Venable knows how to keep them even. what the Sox need is to buy bullpen arms.

=how did we survive that season?”=

For me, I just stopped watching/caring. This year, I’ve already been to 3 games and watch every game on TV. I suspect we’re a year or two from being a true contender, but not being Completely Useless By September is a nice change of pace in 2026.

As for the other side of town, they are easy to root against. Go Cards this weekend.

Dear Mr. Miller, You have introduced me to great music and now Courtney Finnicum. Thank You

2024 was brutal baseball to watch, even if your not a Sox fan. Prediction Cards take 2 of 3 v the Cub this weekend.

Going to the Charlotte Knights game tonight to see upcoming class of Sox players. Always a fun time.

Ditto. I stopped watching baseball for more than two full years. Any baseball. At all. Never before in my life did I go a summer without watching at least 50 games and attending a few. It was weird.

I am watching now, tentatively. It is like the whole league turned over and I am learning all the names anew. It is fun though.

Cardinal and Sox fan here. This season has been great so far. Both are ahead of schedule. The Sox are fun to watch because it seems like they are playing with house money every game. The Cards management has a decision because the plan probably did not include renting some pitching this year. They have good bats and great defense, so the missing piece is obvious.

Not the Cardinals (my team too). Once again, they have raced out to five games over .500, and are sitting there again. They did this last year and the year before. It is getting old getting excited in the first month and a half, and then nothing.

Went last Sunday with a group of Cubs fans, it was fun on so many levels. I did not make it to Rate Field last year for obvious reasons. Looking forward to see some more games this year.

  11. - E town - Friday, May 29, 26 @ 11:08 am:

Will Venable is Manager of Year at this point and Davis Martin would be AL Cy Young Winner

  12. - Three Dimensional Checkers - Friday, May 29, 26 @ 11:30 am:

I watched and attended an embarrassing number of 2024 White Sox games. They were a real combination of no talent, bad managing, and terrible luck. This year’s team is the opposite in all three aspects. I do not think they should really buy at the deadline, but no reason to sell. I bought a 10-game plan to get pre-sale access if they make the playoffs. They have a decent shot I believe.

The Cubs and their fans are having an old-school “play poorly, spiral, and blame everyone else” season.

Their play may improve, but their attitude will remain the same.

  14. - Amalia - Friday, May 29, 26 @ 1:24 pm:

for a good time, follow all the chatter on X about that Cubs player and the White Sox fan in the Sunday game. so much hate towards her. Cubs fans in all their childish glory.

  18. - Boone Logan Square - Friday, May 29, 26 @ 3:29 pm:

That 2024 team had a HR leader with 20 for the season. Munetaka Murakami already has that many in two months.
