After 30 some years in education, including more than two decades as a superintendent, this Tier 1 employee is finally free, and it feels every bit as awesome as I dreamed it would.
Used the downtown supersite to renew my driver’s license the other day, and was in and out in 15 minutes. Don’t think I’ve had a better DMV experience in my life.

If I ever get to move someplace based on choice - I will not be choosing somewhere warmer than central Illinois.
I’m beyond happy to see Chicago guitarist Joel Paterson, who plays all over Chicago and the burbs, getting a spot in Bob Dylan’s band. Mark Guarino has a really good piece on the WBEZ site today.
