Good morning!
Wednesday, Aug 12, 2026 - Posted by Rich Miller * Many years ago, my daughter Vanessa and I drove into the Best Buy parking lot and this song came on the radio as I pulled into a spot. I turned it up and we both sat together transfixed until the end. I think each of us were going through some stuff with others at the time, and I remember it as both a cathartic and bonding moment. I admit this is kind of an odd father-daughter song, but we’ve both always been kinda odd. And the feeling from that brief and long-ago time is still burned into our memories. Today is Vanessa’s birthday, so here we go… I just want to see some palm trees

Love that tune. Has been a week of nostalgic listening after the Foo Fighters show Saturday night. Probably my favorite era of rock since late 70’s.
