The Bears are more interesting to watch than they have been in a long, long time. Kahlil Mack is the real deal. If they can beat the Florida teams over the next three weeks they have a chance to go deep into the playoffs.

===What about Elon Musk’s tunnel to O’Hare Airport?===
If it happens, no skin off of the city’s nose and one more transportation option among many. If it doesn’t happen, I predict the sun will still rise in the east.

Supposed to get down to 37 tonight. I may take this back in February, but I’m so glad Illinois is a state with four seasons. I was visiting a friend in California once. When we’d go out in the morning I would say “gosh, it’s a nice day today.” He would say, “it’s always a nice day here in San Diego.” We’d go out the next morning, I’d forget and say, “gosh, it’s a nice day today.” Repeat.

Mack sure is fun to watch.
But…is the Bears defense overrated?
The Bears defense ranks 5th in the NFL in yardage given up (289 yards/game).
However, this could be simply because of the teams they’ve played. Bears’ opponents offense average 279 yards per game across all their games - so they gain a bit more vs the Bears than they do when facing other teams.
This week’s opponent, Tampa Bay, averages a league leading 473 yards per game.

What about Elon Musk’s tunnel to O’Hare Airport? Will the mayor want his name attached to this project for perpetuity?

Weird 7-10 days.
The political air in Illinois is being sucked between Chicago Mayor and Governor… now the Cavanaugh hearing(s)/process…
What is a shame right now is the real possibility to have open discussions, important policy/political discussions are being overtaken.
Why did I write this?
As everything is happening, and seemingly overwhelming, the long term things like governing continue, and will continue… so…
Look at Oscar, like Rich offered yesterday
Me? I have the Cubs and Ryder Cup, thanks.
People you “disagree” with, they may like dogs, or baseball or craft beer… or whatever.
It’s Friday, it’s overwhelming, A Little Nonsense Now and Then is Relished by the Wisest Men.
Be well, all.

I had New York style pizza for the first time this week.
It was no Aurelio’s, but it was alright.

Cards defense really doing them in, again. That is so out of character with their history.
